The New York City Police Department (NYPD)

The NYPD plays a vital role in supporting the SNL goal of building a bridge between law enforcement and the community. All SNL programs are staffed by designated NYPD Youth Coordination Officers (YCOs) who work to build trust and promote positive engagement with young people during SNL programming hours.

New York City Parks and Recreation

The New York City Parks Department supported the citywide expansion of SNL in 2021. Thanks to the Parks and Recreation teams, recreation center hours were extended to accommodate SNL activities on Saturday evenings from 5 pm to 9 pm. This gives young people more opportunities to stay engaged in positive structured activities. Currently, NYC Parks operates 16 SNL programs across the city.

The District Attorneys

Each County District Attorney’s Office has committed to supporting SNL in their respective boroughs. Each office has taken lead in forming partnerships with local community-based organizations to enhance program opportunities, host community conversations about public safety, promote SNL programming in community events, organize workshops for youth, host events for SNL participants, and connect Assistant District Attorneys to volunteer.
